GUILHERME J. M. ROSA

Principal Investigator

Guilherme is a Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at UW-Madison, with an affiliate appointment at the Department of Biostatistics & Medical Informatics. He has vast experience on the analysis of both experimental and observational data in agriculture, using contemporary statistical and computational techniques.

Arthur works on image analysis and computer vision techniques in many applications and with various livestock species. He is also interested in machine learning, data analytics, and animal breeding.

Tiago works on the integration, analysis, and visualization of data related to pig production, providing data-driven solutions to improve farmers’ management decisions. Tiago interests include bioinformatics, genetic analysis of complex traits, and the use of machine learning to tackle challenges in livestock production.

Vera's PhD thesis is focused on large scale data integration and analytics. She is using information on millions of beef cattle from Brazil, combined with their nutrition, weather and economic variables during their lives to forecast quality and economic return of beef cattle operations.
